Run for Your Rights

10th Annual Run for Your Rights!
10th Annual 5K Run-Walk
Saturday, September 21, 2013
Seward Park, Seattle
Online Registration closed.

Where: Seward Park - 5895 Lake Washington Blvd. S Seattle, WA 98118

Parking: There are various parking areas at Seward Park. All of our activities will take place in the lower part of the park. If the lots fill up, there is limited parking in surrounding neighborhoods and on Lake Washington Boulevard.

Food: We will have water and whole grain rolls available (thank you, Columbia City Bakery!) Be sure to bring your reusable water bottles.

A word about weather: Letís hope for clear skies, but if not, be prepared in layers and raincoats. Letís show our pro-choice spirit whether the skies are sunny or gray!

What to expect:

When you arrive, you will first head to registration to check in and pick up your t-shirt. At this time you will be able to turn in any pledges you collected offline. Once you have checked in, you are free to mingle with friends, grab a snack, and make a pro-choice sign of support. At 10:40 we will gather to rally, announce prize winners and get pumped up before we step off at 11:00. Runners will start the race, followed by walkers, and then folks with strollers, wagons, and pets. Once you complete the 5k, you are welcome to grab another snack or just take off to enjoy the rest of your day.

Last minute info: New registrants will not be able to register on the website after noon on Friday. However, you will still be able to access your own page to enter last minute contributions. If you have a team member who hasnít registered online before that time, they are still able to register and pay their registration fee in-person on Saturday at the event.

We have yet to meet our fundraising goal so I would encourage each of you to keep asking friends, family, and co-workers to support your efforts. If each participant raised even $25 each before now and Saturday, we would be able to put almost $5,000 more to work protecting womenís health and access to choice. We have runners from all over Puget Sound who have collected pledges from across the country, so think BIG!Thank you!

There will be prizes for the team and individual who raise the most amount of money, as well as Best Costume, Most Creative Name, and Largest Team.

We look forward to running and walking with you on Saturday!
