Teach the facts about sex before it's too late
By Susan Paynter Seattle Post-Intelligencer Columnist So we take a tiny step forward, a slippery stride backward and we keep on slogging toward a toehold on real sex education and a woman's right to safe, medically indicated abortion services in this country. Last month, despite a tantrum by some walkouts, the state Senate affirmed this anything-but-radical notion: that, if a public school teaches sex education, it can't be all abstinence and ignorance. It must contain actual information. Imagine that.
