Williams tries to energize boycott
The Olympian by Adam Wilson Saying it's time for people to put more effort into a yearlong boycott of an Olympia store, Rep. Brendan Williams joined a rally Wednesday and labeled a legal firm supporting the business as a "hate group." At issue is a refusal to allow the sale of the emergency birth-control pill Plan B by the owners of Ralph's Thriftway, which has a pharmacy. The high-dosage birth-control medication mainly stops the release of an egg from a woman's ovary and has no effect on a pregnancy, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
