Personal Stories
NARAL Pro-Choice Washington Foundation published "In Our Own Words" in honor of the 35th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.
Call (206) 624-1990 if you would like to request a copy of "In Our Own Words." "In Our Own Words” is an intimate collection of essays, letters, poems and thoughts on the subject of abortion. It characterizes the strength and courage of the women who have had them and the passion of those who feel it must always remain a legal option. From those women who experienced the terror, pain and humiliations of illegal abortions to the strong, confident voices of those women who have had the legal option, this is a celebration about choice.
